Engineer, Application Development and Maintenance

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and deploy software solutions that align with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
• Implement software using out-of-the-box configurations, process extensions, and custom scripts or code.
• Write, debug, and troubleshoot application code across multiple layers.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries while troubleshooting data-related issues across PostgreSQL, Oracle, and DB2.
• Conduct peer reviews of design and code to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
• Maintain and manage technical documentation for systems and solutions.
• Contribute to the development of the organization’s multi-year technology roadmap.

What we're looking for

• 4-8 years of experience (preferred)
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience (preferred)
• Strong programming fundamentals and problem-solving skills, including the ability to leverage AI-assisted coding tools.
• Proficiency in Java/J2EE, specifically microservices architecture using Spring Boot, Hibernate, and ORM frameworks.
• Experience with modern responsive UI frameworks such as Angular (preferred).
• Advanced SQL skills and performance tuning across PostgreSQL, Oracle, and DB2.
• Hands-on experience with Bash, PowerShell, Node.js, Groovy, Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Experience with cloud-native architecture, CI/CD pipelines, RESTful APIs, and event-driven architecture using Kafka.
