Engineer, Application Development and Maintenance

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and deploy software solutions that align with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
• Write, debug, and troubleshoot application code across multiple layers using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries while troubleshooting data issues in PostgreSQL, Oracle, and DB2 databases.
• Implement software through a combination of out-of-the-box configurations, process extensions, and custom scripts.
• Conduct peer reviews of design and code to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
• Maintain and manage technical documentation for all systems and solutions.
• Contribute to the development of the organization’s multi-year technology roadmap.

What we're looking for

• Candidates should have 4-8 years of relevant experience.
• A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Strong programming fundamentals and problem-solving skills are required, including the ability to use AI-assisted coding tools.
• Proficiency in Java/J2EE is required, specifically with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with modern responsive UI frameworks like Angular is preferred.
• Advanced SQL skills for performance tuning across PostgreSQL, Oracle, and DB2 are required.
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages including Bash, PowerShell, Node.js, Groovy, Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript is required.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native architecture, and tools like Splunk or Dynatrace is required.
