As a Staff Chip Security Architect, AI Accelerators, you will join the Dragonfly security team to design and implement the security architecture for next-generation AI accelerator chips intended for datacenter environments. You will define and document baseline security requirements, including confidential compute features like attestation and workload isolation, as well as protections for scale-up/scale-out networks and out-of-band management systems via Board Management Controllers. The role combines high-level architectural design with hands-on prototyping and testing of security-critical components. Key technical requirements include proficiency in C programming, experience with embedded security systems, and knowledge of practical cryptography for high-speed communication over untrusted networks. You will address critical challenges involving multi-tenant isolation, PCIe device security, and the protection of sensitive user and model data within specialized NPU architectures to ensure robust hardware integrity.

What you'll do

Define and document baseline security requirements for AI accelerator chips.
Establish security requirements for confidential compute features including attestation and workload isolation.
Define security requirements for high-speed scale-up and scale-out networks between processors.
Develop security specifications for out-of-band management systems via Board Management Controllers.
Design and document the overall architecture to meet all product security requirements.
Prototype, implement, and test security-critical components of the chip architecture with developer teams.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 4+ years of experience, OR Master's with 3+ years, OR PhD with 2+ years.
7+ years of experience in product security or a related field (experience from advanced degrees will be considered).
2+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
Experience in the design and implementation of access control and isolation systems in complex embedded systems.
Proficiency in C for developing embedded security systems.
Understanding of device attestation systems and practical cryptography for mutually trusted components over untrusted networks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in AI accelerator architecture, PCIe devices, confidential compute solutions, or out-of-band management (preferred).
