TL;DR · Senior Hardware Security Architect

As a Senior Hardware Security Architect, you will join the GPU Security Architecture team to define, craft, and guide the implementation of security architecture for innovative SoCs and GPUs. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop long-term security roadmaps and design architectural solutions that meet specific requirements for mobile, automotive, gaming, and server platforms. Your daily work involves reviewing microarchitectural specifications, identifying threats, and ensuring IP compliance. The role requires expertise in ASIC design processes, cryptography standards, secure boot, and RISC-V or ARM architectures. You will utilize skills in C/C++, Verilog, ARM assembly, and Python or Perl scripting to address security mitigations against physical attacks like fault injection and side channel attacks. Additionally, you will manage remote attestation mechanisms, DRM standards, threat modeling, and certification compliance testing for complex silicon products.

What you'll do

  • Define and guide the long-term security roadmap for mobile, automotive, gaming, and server platforms.
  • Design and develop architectural solutions that meet internal and external security requirements and standards.
  • Review microarchitectural and verification specifications to ensure all IPs comply with platform security requirements.
  • Identify and address security issues and threats in coordination with customers and partners.
  • Implement security features such as secure boot, measured boot, and remote attestation mechanisms.
  • Develop mitigations against physical attacks including fault injection and side channel attacks.
  • Perform security threat modeling and penetration testing for SoC architectures.
  • Ensure hardware designs comply with relevant certification standards and compliance testing requirements.

What we're looking for

  • BS, MS, PhD (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
  • 8+ years of meaningful relevant work or research experience.
  • Experience with the ASIC design process and architecture of large SoCs or GPUs.
  • Proficiency in programming and debugging using C/C++, Verilog, ARM assembly, and Python/Perl scripting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a dynamic, customer-focused team.
  • Experience with system architecture for Gaming, Automotive, Server, or AI platforms (preferred).
  • Knowledge of cryptography algorithms, standards, implementation, application, and SoC security fundamentals like secure boot (preferred).
  • Experience with ARM or RISCV CPU architectures, physical attack mitigations, remote attestation, DRM, threat modeling, and certification standards (preferred).
