Staff Architect

What you'll do

• Lead the development of comprehensive solution architectures aligned with strategic objectives and compliance standards.
• Support the governance and evolution of the enterprise application portfolio and technology decisions.
• Participate in architecture governance, design reviews, and activities for the Architecture Review Board.
• Provide architectural expertise for cloud, infrastructure, networking, and software initiatives, specifically focusing on Microsoft Azure.
• Manage multiple simultaneous solution efforts by developing, reviewing, and documenting complex architecture designs.
• Evaluate architecture decisions through the lenses of security, risk, and regulatory requirements.
• Use modern AI tools like GitHub Copilot to enhance productivity and validate architectural outputs.
• Mentor junior architects and technology peers to strengthen architectural capabilities across the organization.

What we're looking for

• Must be a resident of WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, SC, NC, CA, or VA.
• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Typically requires 7 years of experience designing and implementing technology architectures, including managing delivery of multiple simultaneous complex technology solutions.
• Requires advanced knowledge of cloud-native technologies, modern hosting environments, architectural hosting, security, and risk management.
• Requires familiarity with Microsoft infrastructure and solution stacks, and experience integrating supplier technologies into enterprise systems.
• Requires strong relationship-building, organizational, problem-solving, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Requires exceptional verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation abilities.
• Certification in LEAN, Agile/Scrum, or ITIL with demonstrated implementation success (preferred).
