JOB TITLE: Staff Architect, Partner Platform
As Staff Architect for Lingo's Partner Platform, you will serve as the senior technical voice for the Partner Platform engineering team. In this hands-on individual contributor role, you will own the end-to-end architecture for connecting with a growing ecosystem of health, fitness, and nutrition partners. You will design secure, scalable APIs, webhooks, and event streams to share consented biosensor data while building pipelines to ingest partner data like sleep and activity metrics. Key responsibilities include defining architecture principles, leading design reviews, and mentoring engineers. You will utilize technologies including Azure services, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and FHIR standards. What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 10 years of experience in software engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience in an architect, principal, or technical lead role for API, integration, or data platforms.
Proven experience architecting external-facing APIs and developer platforms used by third-party partners or customers.
Deep experience with authentication and authorization standards (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect), API gateways, and consent-based access models.
Strong experience designing data ingestion pipelines and event-driven architectures, including data contracts, schema management, and data quality controls.
Experience with Azure cloud services or equivalent at production scale.
Experience designing systems that handle sensitive data under HIPAA, PHI, GDPR, or similar privacy frameworks.
Experience building partner ecosystems in digital health, wearables, IoT, fitness, or consumer health technology (preferred).
Familiarity with health data standards and platforms such as FHIR, HL7, Apple HealthKit, and Google Health Connect (preferred).
Experience with consent management platforms and privacy-by-design practices (preferred).
Experience with event streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Azure Event Hubs) and API management tooling (preferred).
Background in data infrastructure including SQL, NoSQL, Data Lakes, and Blob Storage in a cloud-native context (preferred).
