What you'll do

Perform strength analyses using Mathcad and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
Evaluate supplier and shipyard non-conformances to ensure equipment meets requirements.
Develop system requirements for mechanical components and ship systems.
Oversee the development and manufacturing of equipment at supplier facilities.
Monitor part manufacture and testing processes within the shipyard.
Review and approve technical information for part manufacturing.
Manage end-to-end tasks to ensure equipment functions correctly and integrates with ship systems.

What we're looking for

Must be at least 18 years of age.
US citizenship is required.
Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
Must be able to obtain a Secret level clearance through the Department of Defense.
Must be enrolled full-time in a college or university.
Must have completed at least one year of college before the start of the internship.
Pursuing a Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Marine Engineering.
Must be available to work 40 hours per week for at least eight consecutive weeks during Summer 2027.
