What you'll do

  • Perform calculations on fluid systems, structures, and components.
  • Ensure that system requirements and specifications are met by current designs.

  • Evaluate new engineering concepts and provide formal recommendations.
  • Evaluate material conditions or design issues on submarines under construction or in active service.

What we're looking for

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • US citizenship is required.
  • Must pass a medically supervised drug screen and background check.
  • Must be enrolled full-time at a college or university.
  • Must have completed at least one year of college before the internship starts.
  • Must be available to work 40 hours per week for at least eight consecutive weeks during Summer 2027.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Ocean, Chemical, Civil, Nuclear, or Acoustic Engineering.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Office) and strong communication skills are required.
