Sr/Principal Technical Services Project Management (Level 3 or 4) serves as an Operations Program Manager within the Propulsion Systems division. The role involves leading production, testing, and research activities across various phases of the program life cycle for a product family within the missile defense industry. Responsibilities include overseeing requirements acceptance, design, manufacturing, inspection, and delivery while ensuring cost and schedule targets are met. The individual will manage a multidisciplinary team in a matrix organization, coordinating with engineering, supply chain, and operations to integrate complex subassemblies. Key skills required include proficiency in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, along with experience using manufacturing execution systems like ESI, CostPoint, or Sync. Candidates must possess strong communication skills and the ability to implement lean principles for continuous improvement while managing financial performance and project risks.
Lead all activities associated with a product family within the value stream including design, manufacture, and testing.
Manage the full product lifecycle by ensuring requirements, costs, and schedules are met for downstream customers.
Oversee concurrent engineering by integrating various disciplines such as design, supply chain, and process engineering.
Manage financial performance of the value stream, including tracking and approving change requests.
Implement lean principles to drive value enhancement and waste elimination across all aspects of the component value stream.
Identify project milestones, critical paths, and risks while developing contingency plans to address potential issues.
Facilitate regular meetings and communications to keep stakeholders informed of progress, changes, and technical issues.
What we're looking for

U.S. Citizenship is required for positions requiring government clearance.
For Level 3: Bachelor’s degree with 5 years experience OR Master’s degree with 3 years experience in engineering, operations, program management, production, safety, and product lifecycle.
For Level 4: Bachelor’s degree with 8 years experience OR Master’s degree with 6 years experience in engineering, operations, program management, production, safety, and product lifecycle.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills are required for both levels.
Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required.
Experience working with a manufacturing execution system (ESI, CostPoint, Sync) is required.
Preferred qualifications include PMP certification, experience leading multidisciplinary teams, lean project implementation, and advanced degrees in specific engineering or science fields (preferred).
