Senior Systems Engineer

What you'll do

• Solve infrastructure deployment challenges with software in specialized cloud environments.
• Build compute capacity and solve infrastructure problems using code.
• Transform manual, people-heavy processes into automated governance solutions.
• Advance the governance of CI/CD pipelines to improve efficiency and maintenance.
• Distill environmental constraints into practical guardrails for service owners.
• Evaluate new technologies to solve infrastructure and deployment problems.
• Design test and deploy services for National Security customers.

What we're looking for

• You must be a U.S. citizen (born or naturalized) who does not hold dual citizenship.
• You must hold an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with polygraph.
• You must agree to complete a U.S. federal government Minimum Background Investigation (MBI).
• You have 4+ years of Linux engineering experience.
• You have 3+ years maintaining, building, or patching highly sensitive customer data and environments.
• You have 3+ years deploying with a Continuous Integration (CI) orchestration service such as Jenkins or Spinnaker.
• You have 3+ years working within and building on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• You have 2+ years of experience with a scripting or programming language such as Shell, Perl, Python, Ruby, JavaScript, or Go.
• You have 2+ years deploying distributed applications with containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, or similar).
• You hold a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science or have equivalent work experience (preferred).
• You have experience developing security and compliance into pipelines (preferred).
• You have experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Graphite, Datadog, CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Zabbix (preferred).
