Senior Supplier Development Engineer, Battery

What you'll do

• Act as the primary technical point of contact to resolve manufacturing and quality challenges across the supply chain.
• Improve part quality and reduce costs by analyzing design, material selection, and manufacturing methods.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers through rigorous technical assessments and process validation.
• Execute alternative manufacturing methods to achieve lower costs, faster lead times, and improved quality.
• Manage New Product Introduction (NPI) and qualification processes for new parts and engineering changes at supplier sites.
• Lead cross-functional investigations to identify root causes and implement permanent corrective actions for quality issues.
• Provide data-driven recommendations on manufacturability, cost, and lead time trade-offs to influence design decisions.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline such as mechanical, chemical, materials, or metallurgical engineering.
• 6+ years of experience in supply chain engineering, supplier development/quality, manufacturing, or design engineering.
• Experience with machining methods and processes.
• Knowledge of supplier quality processes including PPAP, APQP, and FAIR.
• Knowledge of statistical techniques such as Six Sigma and Design of Experiments.
• Experience with Quality Systems such as ISO 9000, TS, AS9100, or NADCAP.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% for business needs.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible for export control authorizations.
