Senior Staff SoC Safety Architect

What you'll do

• Research and provide SoC architecture platforms and solutions to optimize cost, performance, and power.
• Develop, model, and prototype new system solutions across functional technology IPs.
• Conduct hands-on workload analysis including algorithm optimization and performance or power characterizations.
• Deploy simulators, profilers, and hardware solutions to provide quantitative justification for architectural directions.
• Innovate cross-IP SoC-wide solutions for power systems, memory management, virtualization, and system-level ML.
• Perform architecture-level safety analyses using techniques such as FMEA, FTA, and DFA.
• Develop formal safety requirements and concepts as per ISO 26262 or IEC 61508 standards.
• Communicate experimental results and safety recommendations to technical leads, design teams, and external partners.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Systems Engineering experience.
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Systems Engineering experience.
• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience in one or more system architecture technology areas and products.
• Deep understanding of SoC and Subsystem architecture including CPU, GPU, AI Accelerators, and I/O blocks (preferred).
• Knowledge of SOC infrastructure IP, safety mechanisms, and common Instruction Set Architectures like x86, ARM, or RISC V (preferred).
• Experience applying ISO26262 or IEC61508 safety standards to complex SOCs for automotive or industrial applications (preferred).
• Experience with architecture-level safety analysis techniques such as FMEA, FTA, and DFA (preferred).
