JOB TITLE: Senior Staff Engineer As a Senior Staff Engineer, you will join a community of technical experts to define the future of banking in the cloud. You will serve as the technical lead for the Customer Management engineering organization, managing the entire credit card customer lifecycle from offer management to retention. Your daily responsibilities include hands-on full-stack coding, decomposing complex problems into operational solutions, and leading a multi-year strategy to decommission legacy systems. You will build GenAI tools, experimentation frameworks, and configurable systems to enable self-service product delivery. The role requires expertise in Javascript, TypeScript, SPA frameworks, Java, Python, Go, and Swift. You will solve business problems involving real-time credit decisioning, dynamic offers, and predictive models while ensuring high-availability, high-throughput performance across distributed systems and public or private cloud technologies.

What you'll do

Lead the technical agenda for foundational platforms including SRE, Data, and Operations.
Manage the entire credit card customer lifecycle from offer management to retention.
Implement real-time credit decisioning using predictive models and quantitative in-market testing.
Develop GenAI tools and experimentation frameworks to enable self-service product delivery.
Perform hands-on full-stack coding for frontend, backend, data processing, and automation.
Execute a multi-year strategy to decommission legacy systems and converge the destination stack.
Establish and scale a hybrid SRE and Engineering Productivity function for the organization.
Mentor internal talent and coach the engineering community to strengthen technical expertise.

What we're looking for

At least 9 years of experience in Software engineering and solution architecture.
At least 9 years of experience in Enterprise architecture and design patterns.
At least 9 years of experience with Javascript, TypeScript and SPA frameworks.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
10+ years of experience in software engineering, distributed systems architecture, or platform engineering (preferred).
5+ years of experience leading large-scale engineering organizations of 50+ engineers (preferred).
10+ years of professional experience coding in languages like Java, Python, Go, or Swift (preferred).
