What you'll do

Perform engineering trade studies and analysis on existing and emerging product technologies.
Translate customer and system requirements into architectures, design concepts, and interface definitions.
Provide systems engineering guidance across multidisciplinary teams including sensors, optics, mechanics, firmware, and electronics.
Develop and maintain system-level specifications, requirements, and verification methods.
Conduct hands-on system build, integration, debugging, and performance testing.
Lead technical problem solving throughout prototype development and production transition.
Support technical risk management, configuration management, and requirements traceability activities.
Coordinate with program management and manufacturing engineering to ensure smooth production ramp and sustainment.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree and minimum 6 years of relevant experience, a graduate degree and 4 years of experience, or 10 years of experience without a degree.
Experience integrating and troubleshooting hardware/software systems.
Ability to communicate technical concepts and requirements across multidisciplinary teams (preferred).
Knowledge of system engineering processes including requirements development, verification planning, and risk management (preferred).
Strong written and verbal communication skills (preferred).
Ability to work independently and within small, collaborative technical teams (preferred).
Experience developing military or ruggedized products, soldier systems, or EO/IR sensors (preferred).
Security clearance.
