Sr Specialist, Program Management joins the Global Networks business area to lead a portfolio of programs focused on space communication solutions. This role involves managing the full lifecycle of satellite communications systems, space networking architectures, and ground infrastructure, including active development, production, and sustainment. The individual will have full accountability for cost, schedule, and technical performance while serving as the primary customer interface. Daily responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, managing integrated master schedules, tracking risk registers, and preparing status reviews for leadership. Required skills include proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, MS Project, and Earned Value Management Systems. The role requires expertise in FAR/DFAR, DPAS rated contracts, and DoW customer environments to solve complex networking and secure communication challenges across various space and ground-based platforms.
Lead end-to-end execution of assigned programs by managing cost, schedule, and technical performance.
Prepare and deliver program status reviews to leadership regarding financials, risks, and technical performance.
Serve as the primary customer point of contact to manage expectations and maintain regular communication.
Establish program baselines and milestones while identifying variances and driving corrective actions.
Manage integrated master schedules, risk registers, and action item tracking across concurrent workstreams.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, contractual obligations, and applicable industry regulations.
Lead contract closeout activities including deliverable verification, final billing, and data submittal completion.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field with 6 years of defense program management experience; OR a Graduate degree with 4 years of experience.
Active DoD Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
Ability to travel up to 10% annually.
Demonstrated experience managing cost, schedule, and technical performance on defense programs (preferred).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent programs and priorities (preferred).
Effective written and verbal communication skills with experience in customer-facing roles (preferred).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including MS Project, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint (preferred).
