Sr. Specialist, ILS Systems Engineer - ILS Engineer serves as a subject matter expert and manager responsible for planning, developing, and executing integrated logistics and sustainment strategies for complex programs involving legacy systems, technology refreshes, and future system development. The role involves leading supportability analyses, lifecycle cost activities, maintenance concept development, and provisioning while collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, and customer stakeholders to ensure requirements are met throughout the system lifecycle. Key responsibilities include developing ILSP, LCSP, LCCA, LORA, and PPL documentation. The position requires expertise in Product Support Analysis (PSA) and Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) per GEIA-STD-0007 or MIL-STD-1388-2B standards. Candidates should be proficient with tools like Slicwave, EAGLE, Powerlog, Compass, and CASA to manage logistics data and assess supportability for electronic systems and equipment in the defense and aerospace sectors.
Develop and execute integrated logistics and sustainment strategies for complex programs and legacy systems.
Create and maintain key documentation including ILSPs, LCCAs, LORAs, and maintenance task analyses.
Perform supportability, provisioning, sparing, and DMSMS analyses to provide actionable program recommendations.
Define organizational, intermediate, and depot level maintenance concepts for electronic systems and equipment.
Analyze lifecycle cost drivers to develop strategies that improve readiness, affordability, and maintainability.
Integrate logistics considerations into system design and development by collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.
Present sustainment risks and recommended actions during technical reviews and program meetings.
Manage logistics data and performance metrics using specialized ILS, PSA, and LSA tools and databases.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience in systems engineering, logistics engineering, sustainment, or ILS; or a graduate degree and 4 years of experience.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in integrated logistics support, sustainment, or logistics systems engineering in lieu of a degree.
Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances (limited to U.S. citizens).
Experience in logistics engineering for defense, aerospace, or similarly regulated technical programs (preferred).
Experience performing PSA and LSA in accordance with GEIA-STD-0007, MIL-STD-1388-2B, or equivalent standards (preferred).
Proficiency using tools such as Slicwave, EAGLE, Powerlog, Compass, CASA, or similar applications (preferred).
Military experience in logistics and hands-on involvement in ILS elements (preferred).
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders (preferred).
