The candidate will develop custom scripts to facilitate analysis and brief findings to both technical and non-technical senior management. Required skills include proficiency in Python or Perl scripting, experience with CIRT investigation tools, and knowledge of network communication protocols. The role addresses the critical challenge of identifying and countering sophisticated cybersecurity threats within a defense industrial base context.

What you'll do

Perform triage and prioritization of concurrent cyber events across host and network systems.
Analyze log data, network indicators, and PCAP data to identify root causes of security incidents.
Develop custom scripts in Python or Perl to facilitate technical analysis and automate tasks.
Produce detailed written reports on cyber threats for both technical and non-technical senior management.
Provide counterintelligence and threat protection for intellectual property and sensitive networks.
Monitor intelligence portals and coordinate with government peers to enhance network security.
Identify and mitigate sophisticated cybersecurity threats across the managed network.

What we're looking for

Must have 8 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 6 years with a Master's, or 4 years with a PhD.
Must possess a current U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance including SCI access and a polygraph adjudicated within the last 5 years.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must have at least 4 years of experience conducting analysis of log data for intrusion analysis or cybersecurity operations.
Must have at least 4 years of experience with Python, Perl, or other scripting languages.
Must have experience with two or more analysis tools used in a CIRT or similar investigative environment.
Must be able to prepare and analyze data and figures.
Technical certifications such as GCED, GCIH, GCIA, GCFA, GREM, CFCE, EnCE, ACE, CCNA, or CISSP are preferred.
