Principal Cyber Threat Intelligence Specialist

What you'll do

• Lead the University's enterprise threat intelligence program across academic, healthcare, research, and administrative environments.
• Monitor and operationalize intelligence from internal, external, commercial, government, and industry sources to identify emerging risks.
• Develop intelligence-driven threat detection strategies, threat hunting methodologies, and proactive cyber defense capabilities.
• Design and optimize AI-powered workflows, prompts, playbooks, and automation solutions to enhance SOC effectiveness.
• Establish standards, governance practices, and security controls for the responsible use of AI in cybersecurity operations.
• Translate threat intelligence into actionable recommendations, detection content, response procedures, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Lead advanced cyber threat analysis activities during significant security incidents and investigations.
• Develop and manage AI-powered agents and automated processes to support security monitoring and incident response.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required.
• Must possess the ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols quickly.
• Must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Must be skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.
• Must have strong and clear written and verbal communication skills.
