Senior Platform Hardware Design Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead the development of system and board hardware from initial concept through full-volume production.
• Manage technical requirements, specifications, and cost targets in collaboration with silicon architects and business units.
• Oversee physical design aspects including multi-level boards, power regulation, signal integrity, and EMI.
• Drive innovation in system architecture, circuit implementations, and security at the component selection level.
• Execute hardware bring-up, troubleshooting, and design verification to balance cost and performance.
• Provide technical leadership and implementation guidelines to silicon, package, and system design groups.
• Create and publish technical design documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.

What we're looking for

• Experience with switches and their board design, specifically using Broadcom or Cisco switches, is essential.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
• Strong experience in high-speed mixed-signal design techniques (preferred).
• Experience with Cadence tools, such as Concept Capture and Allegro PCB (preferred).
• Solid experience in LDOs and Multiphase DC-DC switching power supply Power Integrity for high-power ASIC products (preferred).
• Experience with firmware, APIs, applications, OSes, and their interactions within Windows, Linux, Data Accelerators, compute, and virtualization environments (preferred).
• Understanding of industrial standards like USB, PCI Express, I2C/SMBus/PMBus, SPI, and JTAG (preferred).
• Experience with scripting in Python, BASH, or Perl to assist with daily tasks (preferred).
