Sr Network Architect will join the Global Technology team to design and evolve next-generation network infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments. This role focuses on integrating GCP, AWS, and Equinix Datacenters into a unified, secure, and automated global network. The architect will collaborate with multi-functional teams to define standards, perform cost-benefit analyses, and ensure operational excellence for enterprise business requirements. Key responsibilities include managing technical change scrutiny, mentoring junior engineers, and representing the network domain in architecture forums. Required expertise includes routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP; DNS and IPAM; SD-WAN solutions; and tools such as Wireshark, Cisco platforms, and Palo Alto. The role addresses complex infrastructure challenges by building scalable connectivity for a global omni-channel restaurant brand, ensuring seamless network performance across diverse environments including hybrid cloud and large-scale enterprise systems.
Design and develop network solutions that address enterprise business requirements across cloud and on-premises environments.
Integrate GCP and AWS cloud platforms with Carrier Neutral Facilities into a unified, secure, and automated global network.
Perform cost-benefit analyses and define selection criteria to evaluate potential technical solutions.
Coordinate with managed service providers to assemble infrastructure solutions aligned with organizational needs.
Create comprehensive documentation and present networking matters to the architecture review board.
Conduct technical change scrutiny, reviews, and approvals while validating change plans.
Prepare or review RACIs, SOWs, and service offerings to ensure high technology quality.
Mentor junior engineers and represent the network domain in enterprise architecture forums.
What we're looking for
8+ years of experience in enterprise network services, architecture, design, and deployment across hybrid cloud and datacenter environments.
Deep knowledge of GCP and AWS networking, including VPC design, Direct Connect, Interconnect, and Transit Gateways.
Hands-on experience with datacenters, SD-WAN, and Equinix Fabric or similar interconnect platforms.
Strong understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OMP, OSPF), DNS, IPAM, and network security.
Proficiency in Microsoft and Linux/Unix operating systems.
Experience troubleshooting networks using Wireshark, monitoring solutions, firewall logs, and Cisco or Palo Alto platforms.
Good communication, documentation, and collaborator management skills.
Certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, AWS/GCP Network Specialty, or Terraform Associate (preferred); familiarity with retail network architectures (preferred).
