What you'll do

  • Sustain and troubleshoot a defined network architecture including secure external connectivity via next-generation firewalls.

  • Perform end-to-end fault isolation to distinguish between product issues and customer network problems.
  • Configure, operate, and troubleshoot Cisco-based network infrastructure including enterprise-scale switches and routers.
  • Cross-train as a tester to support system and integration test activities for multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
  • Manage incident tickets and document findings under Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) contracts.
  • Monitor and analyze network performance using tools like Wireshark, SolarWinds, and NetFlow.
  • Mentor junior engineers and review/approve technical network changes.

What we're looking for

  • U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance are required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 8 years of experience, Master’s with 6 years, or 12 years of experience without a degree.
  • Extensive experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco-based network infrastructure including enterprise/mission-scale switches and routers.
  • Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), VLANs, trunking, spanning-tree, and QoS.
  • Experience performing end-to-end fault isolation and root cause analysis in production or mission environments under a CLS contract.
  • Working knowledge of firewall concepts and familiarity with DoD end-to-end encryption devices like TACLANE.
  • Ability to cross-train as a system/test engineer to support integration test activities and manage COMSEC material.
  • Current Cisco certification, Security+ certification, or experience with Palo Alto firewalls (preferred).
