Senior Manager, Research Laboratory

What you'll do

• Manage daily laboratory operations, including quality control, compliance adherence, and the implementation of internal controls.
• Develop and implement short- and long-range goals for laboratory services and departmental policies.
• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of all laboratory equipment.
• Train and supervise staff on standard operating procedures, technical techniques, and safety requirements.
• Manage project lifecycles by coordinating costs, methods, and resources to achieve desired outcomes.
• Develop new service lines for cancer modeling, including transgenic services, noninvasive imaging, and digital pathology.
• Design experiments and develop novel methodologies based on scientific literature and emerging trends.
• Serve as a technical liaison between investigators and staff to resolve operational problems and improve activities.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree in molecular biological, veterinary, or biomedical sciences.
• Ph.D., M.D., or other doctoral level degree is preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the field of genetic engineering and/or animal models.
• Knowledge of business and management principles to direct, manage, and evaluate department operations.
• Proficiency with general and specialized data analysis software and databases.
• Knowledge of molecular biology procedures, laboratory facilities maintenance, and equipment operation.
• Ability to train, lead, and manage personnel in a collaborative environment.
