What you'll do

  • Oversee research employees, students, and staff while providing training on technical procedures and reagents.
  • Design experiments, develop new techniques, and manage the procurement and validation of research services.
  • Author scientific publications, technical reports, and patent applications to promote the university's reputation.
  • Prepare research proposals and funding applications to secure support for laboratory activities.
  • Manage project lifecycles including scheduling, sample tracking, quality analysis, troubleshooting, and billing.
  • Develop and implement new service lines and state-of-the-art technologies in tissue-based research.
  • Organize educational workshops, seminars, and meetings for user groups and lab staff.
  • Ensure all laboratory activities comply with quality standards and institutional regulatory policies.

What we're looking for

  • Ph.D., M.D., or other doctoral degree in a relevant field, preferably in molecular biological, veterinary, or biomedical sciences.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the field of genetic engineering and/or animal models.
  • Experience in service provision and management in a research core facility is preferred.
  • Proficiency with general and specialized data analysis software and databases.
  • Knowledge of molecular biology procedures, laboratory operations, and equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to train and manage personnel while coordinating project costs, methods, and resources.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
