Sr Mainframe Technical Consultant The Sr Mainframe Technical Consultant joins the mainframe division to provide high-level technical expertise regarding infrastructure management and architectural design. This role involves analyzing user requirements, modeling solutions, and providing guidance on infrastructure topics to both management and clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting hardware and software comparative evaluations, performing complex product integration demonstrations, and troubleshooting post-implementation issues. The candidate will work with specific products such as SYSVIEW, OPS/MVS, NetMaster, and Mainframe Application Tuner while managing upgrades and conversions. Required technical skills include proficiency in REXX, COBOL, or HLASM coding, along with an understanding of subsystems like JES, CICS, MQ series, DB2, IMS, and VSAM, as well as security managers such as ACF2, TSS, and RACF. The role focuses on solving complex infrastructure management challenges within the mainframe environment.
