The Sr. Mainframe Software and Open Systems Client Services Consultant joins the team to advise enterprise customers on implementing and optimizing Broadcom mainframe infrastructure and open-systems integration software. This role involves modeling and executing comprehensive solutions to bridge traditional mainframe infrastructure with modern open systems. Key responsibilities include conducting technical qualifications, architecting hybrid frameworks, performing hardware and software comparative evaluations, and leading complex product integration demonstrations or Proofs of Concept. The consultant will perform installation, configuration, and performance tuning while providing advanced troubleshooting for system-level issues. Required technical skills include expertise in z/OS architecture, REXX, Java, JCL, Zowe, REST APIs, and CLI. The position focuses on infrastructure modernization, helping organizations navigate critical technical evolutions and cross-platform interoperability within complex enterprise environments.

Architect hybrid frameworks and technical specifications to bridge traditional mainframe infrastructure with modern open systems.
Lead and execute complex product integration demonstrations, customized trials, and Proofs of Concept (POCs).
Oversee the installation, configuration, system integration, and performance tuning of infrastructure solutions in customer environments.
Analyze complex hybrid requirements to model and execute migration paths from competitive products to modern management approaches.
Serve as the senior technical tier for post-implementation support, resolving complex system-level and integration issues.
Conduct hardware, mainframe software, and open-systems interface comparative evaluations to maximize infrastructure efficiency.
Lead post-implementation knowledge transfer sessions to train customer system administration and operations teams.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
8+ years of experience working with Mainframe Systems/Infrastructure Software, Open Systems integration, and enterprise system tools.
Deep understanding of Mainframe Infrastructure concepts, systems administration/programming practices, system utilities, and z/OS architecture components.
Proven experience integrating Mainframe Infrastructure with Open Systems using Zowe, REST APIs, Model Context Protocol (MCP), CLI, or open-source hybrid integration tools.
Proficient with REXX, Java, and JCL.
Experience with modern automation or scripting languages to facilitate system management and task automation.
Ability to travel to client sites.
Proven capability to lead product integration demonstrations, Trials, and Proofs of Concept (POCs).
