Senior Electrical Engineer

What you'll do

• Own the electrical design of instrument subsystems including analog/digital circuitry, power distribution, and motor control.
• Translate user needs into electrical architecture, schematics, PCB designs, and interface specifications.
• Build and test prototypes while performing board bring-up and system integration.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and troubleshooting for manufacturing and field issues.
• Perform design verification using laboratory instrumentation and structured problem-solving methods.
• Develop FPGA and CPLD-based logic using VHDL or Verilog for complex instrumentation.
• Execute risk assessments and design reviews in partnership with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Support product release and sustaining engineering through complete design documentation and verification plans.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience developing electrical components for complex electromechanical products.
• Proficiency in mixed-signal circuit design, schematic capture, multilayer PCB development, power electronics, and motor or actuator control.
• Proficiency with sensors and interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, USB, CAN, or Ethernet.
• Hands-on experience with Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB design.
• Hands-on experience with SOLIDWORKS for mechanical packaging and electrical-mechanical integration reviews.
• Hands-on proficiency with FPGA and CPLD design using VHDL or Verilog, including logic simulation and hardware debugging.
• Experience in life science, medical, or laboratory automation within an ISO-aligned quality system (preferred).
