Senior Electrical Design Engineer, Laser Powder Bed Fusion Printers

What you'll do

• Design new electrical hardware, PCBAs, and targeted modifications to improve reliability and printer capabilities.
• Create and release technical documentation for the fabrication of printed circuit boards.
• Drive changes to electrical schematics and mechanical drawings to improve manufacturability and cost.
• Perform root cause investigations to characterize off-nominal unit behavior and mitigate production risks.
• Derive engineering justifications to resolve production issues during assembly, test, and activation.
• Design test setups and execute hardware validation through benchtop and environmental testing.
• Manage the full lifecycle of electrical systems from requirements capture and component selection to prototyping and debugging.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering.
• 5+ years of industry experience designing circuits, electronic products, or hardware.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for required Department of State authorizations.
• Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a similar engineering degree (preferred).
• 2+ years of professional experience rapidly designing and delivering highly reliable products (preferred).
• 2+ years of professional experience testing, troubleshooting, and debugging electronics (preferred).
• Experience with industrial automation, laser systems, high-power electronics, motion control, or additive manufacturing equipment (preferred).
• Proficiency with schematic capture and board layout, preferably in Altium or Circuit Maker (preferred).
