What you'll do

Lead the engineering design of core payment network capabilities including transaction authorizations, tokenization, and fraud management.
Define and enforce architectural best practices to ensure security, scalability, and regulatory compliance across multiple lines of business.
Develop and scale multi-department strategies for agentic AI-enabled engineering and SDLC automation.
Establish guardrails for AI-orchestrated delivery workflows, including safety, traceability, and automated test modernization.
Manage large cross-functional teams and oversee employee populations across various platforms and divisions.
Act as the primary interface with senior executives to drive consensus on complex projects and competing objectives.
Drive cross-domain reuse of software development toolchains to improve capacity and speed of delivery.
Advise senior leadership on responsible AI risk, controls, and secure adoption strategies.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 10+ years of applied experience.
At least 5 years of experience leading teams.
Deep expertise in end-to-end payment network processes including authorizations, tokenization, disputes, clearing, settlement, and fraud management.
Experience working with Business, Legal, and Compliance to ensure systems meet regulatory and business goals.
Track record of working with emerging technologies like agentic payments, AI/ML fraud detection, and blockchain.
Experience leading large or cross-functional teams of technologists and managing talent development.
Experience leading multi-organization adoption of agentic AI-enabled engineering operating models and understanding responsible AI risk.
Extensive practical cloud native experience; recognized thought leader in the industry (preferred).
