What you'll do

  • Define and lead the engineering strategy for mission-critical, high-volume customer authentication platforms.
  • Provide enterprise-level technical leadership and architectural governance for authentication platforms using OIDC, SAML2, and FIDO2.
  • Own and evolve full-stack architecture across application, data, and infrastructure layers.
  • Review and validate solution designs to ensure security, scalability, resiliency, and performance across all environments.
  • Drive execution across multiple concurrent enterprise initiatives while managing delivery priorities and technical risks.
  • Lead and mentor globally distributed senior engineering teams to build a culture of engineering excellence.
  • Scale multi-department strategy for agentic AI-enabled engineering and SDLC automation to drive firmwide objectives.
  • Partner with Product, Operations, and Risk teams to align authentication capabilities with business and regulatory goals.

What we're looking for

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 10+ years of applied experience.
  • 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within a domain of expertise.
  • Enterprise architecture leadership experience owning end-to-end application, data, and infrastructure architecture for large-scale platforms.
  • Hands-on software engineering background with the ability to write, review, and troubleshoot production-grade code in Java and related technologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership of mission-critical, high-volume customer-facing platforms.
  • Proven ability to design and review solutions for security, resiliency, scalability, and performance across dev/test/prod environments.
  • Experience leading multi-organization adoption of agentic AI-enabled engineering operating models and understanding of responsible AI risk.
  • Experience in IAM and customer authentication, including OIDC/OAuth2, SAML2, and FIDO2/WebAuthn (preferred).
  • Excellent executive communication skills to translate complex technical trade-offs for senior stakeholders (preferred).
