Senior Director AI & Agentic Platform Engineering

What you'll do

• Define and drive the enterprise agent platform strategy, including architecture and technology choices for scalable adoption.
• Deliver core infrastructure components like the model gateway, orchestration runtime, and context/memory services.
• Build and operate trust and quality frameworks including evaluations, observability, and release gates for production agents.
• Manage platform security, governance, and operational excellence including identity, authorization, and policy enforcement.
• Oversee cost management, capacity planning, and infrastructure performance monitoring across the agent ecosystem.
• Develop tools for tool/MCP integrations, procedural knowledge management, and data access models.
• Establish guardrails and safety mechanisms to ensure agents operate securely and within defined boundaries.
• Manage deployment processes including tracing, incident response, and continuous improvement of the platform.

What we're looking for

• Deep expertise in Google Cloud AI services including Vertex AI, Gemini, model deployment, vector search, and evaluation frameworks.
• Strong experience with data platforms including BigQuery, Spanner, Dataplex, Knowledge Catalog, and Looker/LookML.
• Proficiency in cloud-native platform engineering using Cloud Run, GKE, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed systems architecture.
• Experience with enterprise security and governance including IAM, workload identity, secrets management, and policy enforcement.
• Knowledge of event-driven and streaming architectures using Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and workflow orchestration platforms.
• Expertise in observability and reliability engineering including logging, tracing, monitoring, OpenTelemetry, and incident management.
• Hands-on experience building agent and LLM platforms, including agent frameworks, MCP integrations, and large-scale model orchestration.
• Proven software engineering leadership with Python and TypeScript/Go development and multi-tenant platform design.
