Senior Controls Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop user requirement specifications, automation concepts, and architectural designs for automated equipment.
• Design and program industrial control systems including PLCs, robotics, HMIs, vision systems, and motion control.
• Manage end-to-end project execution including budgeting, scheduling, installation, and troubleshooting with external suppliers.
• Oversee the commissioning and training of automated systems to ensure they meet technical standards.
• Ensure all equipment installations and processes comply with regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex mechanical and electrical systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Optimize production processes through continuous improvement and proactive problem-solving.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Mechatronics/Automation with 5+ years of experience, or a master’s degree with 2+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in PLC programming using ladder logic and structured text.
• Experience with AC/DC drives, servo motors, HMIs, machine vision, and safety systems.
• Ability to manage automation objectives including debugging, installation, equipment commissioning, and training.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical concepts for team review.
• Proactive mindset for process optimization and problem-solving.
• Experience with complex mechanical systems and CAD modeling (preferred).
• Experience with Rockwell Automation ControlLogix, Cognex vision systems, industrial robotics, and SCADA/networking (preferred).
