What you'll do

  • Provide technical support to maintenance, manufacturing, and operations teams to ensure production continuity.
  • Troubleshoot machine stoppages and perform root cause analysis for equipment-related issues.
  • Research, design, and test electrical components, systems, and networks.
  • Interpret electrical schematics and create updated documentation in AutoCAD for legacy and modified equipment.
  • Troubleshoot control platforms including PLCs, CNC systems, vision systems, robotics, and motion systems.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase overall equipment effectiveness and reliability.
  • Participate in risk assessments, such as DFMEA and PFMEA, to ensure safety and quality requirements.
  • Manage vendor relationships for equipment specifications, quotes, and supplier qualification activities.

What we're looking for

  • A Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience are required, or a Master's degree with no experience required.
  • Candidates with degrees from outside the U.S. must satisfy specific federal requirements under 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
  • Must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment using conventional diagnostic tools and PLC software (preferred).
  • Experience with PLC platforms such as Mitsubishi and Rockwell, including safety PLCs like GuardLogix, CompactLogix, and ControlLogix (preferred).
  • Proficiency in electrical and controls design with knowledge of NFPA standards (preferred).
  • Ability to verify equipment compliance with NFPA, OSHA, and other applicable safety standards (preferred).
