Senior System Development Engineer, Antenna System Validation

What you'll do

• Design and implement hardware, firmware, software, or FPGA components for antenna systems.
• Perform bring-up, characterization, and validation of antenna subsystems in the lab and on test hardware.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, firmware, and software issues during development, integration, and production testing.
• Develop tools to identify system failures and ensure reliability before satellite launch.
• Create technical documentation and participate in design reviews for new hardware and software capabilities.
• Develop automated test scripts using Python to control laboratory instruments.
• Integrate complex phased array systems involving multiple processors and thousands of synchronized elements.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field is required.
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
• Experience in digital design, verification, or embedded firmware development using SystemVerilog, VHDL, UVM testbenches, or microcontroller firmware.
• Experience using common electronics test equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, and function generators.
• Preferred experience with FPGA design, DSP, multi-rate signal processing, phased array antennas, or complex RF systems.
• Preferred experience with test automation using Python and lab instrument control via PyVISA.
