JOB TITLE: Specialist, Systems Engineering The Specialist, Systems Engineering joins the Integration and Test team to support a family of Unmanned Aircraft Systems. This role involves hardware and software requirements definition, decomposition, allocation, management, verification, and validation of technical products. Key responsibilities include conducting component trade studies, performing system integration, characterizing system performance, and leading integration activities for new designs. The position requires managing requirements flow-down and traceability for complex electronic systems using agile product systems and model-based systems engineering processes. Candidates should possess skills in MATLAB, LabView, Python, C/C++, C#, and DOORS. The work focuses on the design and integration of complex hardware/software systems, including radar systems, sensor modalities, and RF systems, while developing use cases from customer objectives and concepts of operations.

What you'll do

Define, decompose, and manage hardware and software requirements for complex electronic systems using MBSE processes.
Lead integration activities for new designs and develop corresponding integration and verification plans.
Coordinate integration testing with Test Engineers to verify system operation and performance.
Conduct component trade studies and perform system performance characterization.
Identify system design risks and develop mitigation strategies for complex projects.
Create and maintain technical documentation including TDPs, system specifications, and maintenance plans.
Develop and run simulations to predict system performance in various environments.
Analyze data from design verification test efforts to identify areas for improvement.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of relevant experience, Graduate Degree and 2 years of experience, or 8 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Active DoD Secret security clearance with a current 5-year update.
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearances as required.
Experience with aerospace systems and integrated hardware/software products (preferred).
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (preferred).
Experience with MATLAB, LabView, Python, or C/C++/C# (preferred).
Experience in unmanned aircraft, guided weapon systems, radar, or RF systems (preferred).
U.S. citizens.
