As a Specialist, Systems Engineering, you will join the engineering team to perform technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation across the full system lifecycle. You will translate customer and product requirements into reliable total-system solutions while managing technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Your daily responsibilities include developing and tracing subsystem requirements, defining verification procedures, conducting functional analyses, and performing trade studies. You will also manage system architectures using model-based systems engineering practices and lead root-cause investigations for test discrepancies. The role requires proficiency in systems engineering principles, hardware and software integration, and technical risk management. This position focuses on solving complex engineering challenges to deliver reliable capabilities for mission-critical defense technology applications across the space, air, land, sea, and cyber domains.
Perform technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation across the full system lifecycle.
Translate customer and product requirements into total-system solutions considering cost, schedule, and operational constraints.
Develop, analyze, and trace system and subsystem requirements through specific verification evidence.
Define verification methods, test cases, and procedures using test, analysis, inspection, and demonstration.
Plan and support integration activities to ensure hardware, software, and interfaces function together as intended.
Conduct functional analyses, interface-definition studies, and detailed trade studies.
Apply model-based systems engineering practices to maintain system architecture and verification models.
Analyze test results to identify discrepancies and lead root-cause investigations for verification issues.
What we're looking for
A Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience are required.
A Graduate Degree and at least 2 years of related experience are accepted as an alternative qualification.
At least 8 years of related experience is required in lieu of a degree.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance if needed.
Proficient knowledge of systems engineering principles, including requirements development, functional analysis, integration, verification, and validation (preferred).
Experience supporting hardware and software integration and test activities (preferred).
Experience developing or maintaining requirements, verification plans, test procedures, traceability, or verification evidence (preferred).
