As a Senior Associate, Systems Engineering, you will join a dynamic team focused on developing electro-optic and infrared solutions for airborne and ground surveillance. You will perform systems integration and test engineering responsibilities, including developing system integration concepts, creating test plan approaches, and performing technical risk assessments, verification, and validation. Your daily work involves designing, developing, and releasing custom hardware and software test equipment while managing upgrades for obsolescence and maintaining architecture standards. The role requires proficiency in Model Based Systems Engineering, tools like DOORS, Jama, and Cameo, and programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and LabView. You may also utilize Matlab/Simulink for system modeling and work with video transport and encoding standards like H.264, MISB, and SMPTE to solve complex technical challenges within the defense product domain.
Develop system integration concepts and comprehensive test plan approaches.
Verify that all system requirements are met and evaluate performance measures.
Perform system and subsystem integration, technical risk assessments, and verification/validation analyses.
Design, develop, and release custom hardware and software test equipment.
Create custom test equipment procedures, instructions, and automation for production operations.
Manage upgrades to test equipment for obsolescence and performance enhancements.
Maintain a library of preferred test components and common architecture standards.
Design qualification programs including plans, procedures, and necessary test equipment.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of related experience, a graduate degree with 0 to 2 years of experience, or 6 years of experience without a degree.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
Experience in systems integration, test planning, risk assessment, verification, and validation.
Ability to design, develop, and release custom hardware and software test equipment.
MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering) experience (preferred).
Experience with DOORS, Jama, and Cameo (preferred).
Software development for test applications using C/C++, Python, or LabView (preferred).
