What you'll do

Conduct onsite and remote demos, technical presentations, and hands-on workshops for state, local, and education customers.
Own the technical evaluation process, including the design and delivery of proofs of concept (POC) and proofs of value (POV).
Provide technical responses for RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and security questionnaires to support the sales cycle.
Guide customers through security requirements such as GovRAMP and NIST frameworks to ensure compliance.
Advise customers on modernizing legacy applications and adopting AI responsibly within state and sector policies.
Create Customer Success Plans that capture technical success criteria and handoff details for smooth deployment.
Build data-driven business cases to quantify delivery bottlenecks and provide a basis for budget requests.
Channel customer feedback regarding procurement, compliance, and deployment needs back to the Product, Sales, and Marketing teams.

What we're looking for

The candidate must reside in the Northeast part of the United States.
This role requires up to 50% travel.
Provide a background in technical pre-sales, consulting, or IT roles serving state agencies, local governments, or public, private, and research universities.
Possess working knowledge of SLED technology procurement, including RFP/RFI cycles, cooperative purchasing agreements, and fiscal-year budgeting.
Have hands-on experience using GitLab and familiarity with CI/CD, DevSecOps, and automation practices.
Have experience with cloud, hybrid, and self-managed deployments in regulated environments with an understanding of data residency.
Demonstrate familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as GovRAMP and NIST SP 800-53.
Prior experience in state/local government IT, legacy modernization, or public sector AI governance is preferred (preferred).
