As a Solution Architect, you will join the team to lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and modern solutions supporting Public Health data modernization initiatives. You will be responsible for developing scientific computing infrastructure solutions, recommending tools based on research into on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources, and leading technical teams through complex challenges. Your daily work involves collaborating with engineers and product teams to inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met during delivery. The role requires expertise in enterprise analytics solutions, CI/CD pipelines for deployment, and infrastructure cost management. You will utilize skills in automation, cloud-based security, and modern DevOps practices to solve critical problems within the public health domain. Key technical competencies include managing federal IT environments and navigating CDC processes to improve national outcomes.
Design and implement secure, scalable technical architectures for public health data modernization.
Create on-premise, hybrid, and cloud-based infrastructure solutions to meet specific client needs.
Recommend tools and technologies based on research of current environments and available resources.
Lead technical teams through the design and delivery of enterprise analytics solutions.
Conduct MVP engagements to test new tool applications and technologies.
Develop CI/CD pipelines for deployment into higher lifecycle environments.
Advise stakeholders on strategy and design to ensure standards are met during implementation.
What we're looking for
Experience designing, configuring, and administering enterprise applications in on-premise or cloud-based scientific-computing environments.
Experience with end-to-end ownership of enterprise analytics solutions from design through delivery.
Experience conducting MVP engagements to test new tool applications.
Experience developing CI/CD pipelines for deployment into higher lifecycle environments.
Ability to lead technical teams.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements.
Master’s degree in Computer Science, cloud certifications (AWS or Azure), infrastructure cost management experience, and federal IT environment experience (preferred).
