Infrastructure Solutions Architect

What you'll do

• Design and implement secure, scalable on-premise, hybrid, and cloud-based technical architectures.
• Develop scientific computing infrastructure solutions to support Public Health data modernization initiatives.
• Recommend specific tools and solutions based on research of current environments and cloud resources.
• Lead a team of developers to overcome complex technical challenges in the cloud.
• Ensure all technical designs and implementations adhere to engineering and cloud governance standards.
• Deploy and troubleshoot IaaS environments, Linux/Unix-based systems, and shell scripting.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as GitHub Actions.
• Manage infrastructure cost management and governance frameworks for federal IT environments.

What we're looking for

• 6+ years of experience designing, configuring, and administering enterprise applications in on-premise or cloud-based scientific-computing environments.
• 5+ years of experience developing with .NET, Entity Framework, and SQL.
• Experience managing a team of five or more developers and leading technical teams.
• Experience architecting and deploying solutions in on-premise scientific computing environments and secure, cloud-based architectures.
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting IaaS environments and Linux or Unix-based systems, including shell scripting.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination.
• Experience with Gen-AI tools, CI/CD, and automation tools like GitHub Actions.
• Experience optimizing infrastructure cost management and implementing governance frameworks (preferred).
• Experience with CDC processes, data modernization efforts, and federal IT environments (preferred).
• Master’s degree in Computer Science (preferred).
• AWS Solutions Architect or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certifications (preferred).
