The Software Engineering Technical Leader joins the Customer Validation Testing team to develop solutions for large-scale service provider and enterprise networks. You will also leverage gNMI, gRPC, NETCONF, YANG, and REST APIs to ensure high-quality network performance.

What you'll do

Design, automate, configure, and qualify customer use cases based on IOS-XR for specific hardware platforms.
Bring up customer solutions in the Cisco lab using hardware, traffic generators, and open-source tools.
Develop innovative test frameworks and web-based GUIs that leverage analytics and machine learning.
Reproduce customer environments and network protocols to mimic real-world scenarios for validation.
Drive automated and manual test cases to validate solution performance and functionality.
Monitor and optimize the performance of the customer’s network environment.
Perform root cause analysis and deliver solutions for large-scale service provider or enterprise deployments.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
8+ years of relevant experience.
Experience developing automation tools, test frameworks, and network validation scripts using Python.
Hands-on experience with Layer 2/Layer 3 protocols including BGP, OSPF, ISIS, MPLS, Segment Routing, and Multicast.
Experience in network automation (e.g., pyATS), protocol testing, and software quality assurance.
Experience reproducing customer environments, performing root cause analysis, and delivering solutions for large-scale service providers or enterprises.
Experience configuring, validating, and troubleshooting routing platforms (e.g., Nexus switches) with hardware-based forwarding.
Experience with GIT, Jira, Jenkins, CI/CD, and network monitoring tools (preferred); CCIE/CCNP/Cisco DevNet certification (preferred).
