The Senior QA Engineer joins the Customer Validation Testing team to qualify and automate influential technologies and XR platforms for high-end Web and Service Provider customers. In this role, you will design, automate, and configure customer use cases based on IOS-XR for platforms including ASR9K, NCS5500, and 8000. Daily responsibilities involve generating test plans, developing innovative test frameworks, and building web-based GUIs using analytics and machine learning to analyze execution results. You will drive manual and automated test cases, track defects, and reproduce customer issues in internal labs. Required expertise includes L2/L3 networking protocols such as BGP, MPLS, and Segment Routing. You must be proficient in UNIX/Linux environments, Bash scripting, and automation tools like pyATS, Ansible, Jenkins, and Robot framework.

What you'll do

Design, automate, configure, and qualify customer use cases based on IOS-XR platforms.
Generate test plans and prioritize tasks dynamically based on specific customer demands.
Develop innovative test frameworks, tools, and web-based GUIs using analytics and machine learning.
Execute test cases manually and through automation while tracking and verifying defects.
Proactively improve test coverage, execution, and automation to optimize performance and configuration.
Reproduce customer issues in internal test labs and generate corresponding test executions.
Validate customer use cases by collaborating with development teams, account teams, and customers.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's in STEM with 7+ years of relevant experience or Master's in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience.
Experience in networking software quality assurance.
Experience with L2 or L3 networking protocols including ISIS, BGP, MPLS, IPv6, GRE, MPLS-TE, LDP, RSVP, Segment routing, L2VPN, L3VPN, and EVPN.
Certificate in CCIE (Routing & Switching / Service Provider / Data Center) (preferred).
Experience on platforms such as ASR9K, NCS5500, NCS5000, NCS540/NCS560, NCS6K, CRS, or 8000 (preferred).
Demonstrated experience with RDMA technologies and related protocols such as InfiniBand, RoCE, or iWARP (preferred).
Experience in OpenFlow, Netconf, and REST API (preferred).
Background in network automation tools like pyATS, Ansible, Jenkins, Robot framework, and Cisco NSO (preferred).
