The Software Engineering Technical Leader joins the Silicon One team to lead the design and development of software features for the Silicon One NPU. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers to build highly scalable, low power, and low latency systems designed for demanding AI/ML workloads. Your daily responsibilities include participating in customer requirement discussions, scoping features, and taking complete ownership of software delivery and quality. You will utilize modern C++, Python, and the Network processing language of Silicon One to develop software on the NPU. You must possess expertise in Layer-2 or Multicast protocols and forwarding mechanisms. This position requires deep knowledge of hardware architecture to help define next-generation ASIC products for cloud data centers and open networking.

What you'll do

Lead the design and development of software features for the Silicon One NPU.
Develop software using modern C++, Python, and the Silicon One network processing language.
Participate in customer requirement discussions and scope features post-closing.
Take complete ownership of delivering high-quality software in a timely manner.
Lead a team of engineers by providing guidance and unblocking design or implementation issues.
Act as the gatekeeper of the code base for assigned domains.
Collaborate with architecture and hardware teams to define next-generation ASIC products.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a STEM degree and 8+ years of engineering experience.
Master's degree and 6+ years of experience in an Engineering role.
8+ years of experience in C/C++.
5+ years of experience designing, implementing, troubleshooting, or analyzing Layer-2 or Multicast protocols and forwarding mechanisms in a professional networking environment.
Experience with writing and testing software for high performing and scalable networking products (preferred).
Experience in analytical reasoning and debugging using tools such as GDB and PDB (preferred).
Experience with cloud, data center, or edge networking products (preferred).
Experience in debugging customer related issues (preferred).
