As a Software Engineering Technical Leader on the Silicon One team, you will lead the design and development of software features for the Silicon One NPU. You will be responsible for creating software to build highly scalable, low power, and low latency systems designed for demanding AI/ML workloads. Your daily responsibilities include participating in customer requirement discussions, scoping features, managing code base integrity as a gatekeeper, and guiding a team of engineers through design and implementation challenges. You will work with architecture and hardware teams to define next-generation ASIC products while gaining deep knowledge of hardware architectures and programming models. The role requires proficiency in modern C++, Python, and the Network processing language of Silicon One. Essential skills include experience with Layer-2 or Multicast protocols, forwarding mechanisms, and debugging tools like GDB and PDB.
Lead the design and development of software features for the Silicon One NPU.
Develop high-performance software using modern C++, Python, and specialized network processing languages.
Participate in customer requirement discussions and scope technical features post-closing.
Take full ownership of delivering high-quality software within established timelines.
Lead a team of engineers by providing guidance and resolving design or implementation issues.
Act as the gatekeeper for code quality and integrity within assigned domains.
Collaborate with architecture and hardware teams to define next-generation ASIC products.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a STEM field with 8+ years of experience; or Master's degree with 6+ years of experience.
8+ years of experience in C/C++.
At least 5 years of experience designing, implementing, troubleshooting, or analyzing Layer-2 or Multicast protocols and forwarding mechanisms in a professional networking environment.
Experience writing and testing software for high performing and scalable networking products (preferred).
Experience in analytical reasoning and debugging using tools such as GDB and PDB (preferred).
Experience with cloud, data center, or edge networking products (preferred).
Experience in debugging customer related issues (preferred).
