The Software Engineering MTS- Platform Security role involves end-to-end software development across complex security data pipelines, from ingestion to canonical data stores. Joining the platform security team, you will own system architecture for endpoint protection platforms, authoring System Design Records and Architecture Decision Records. Daily responsibilities include building APIs, policy evaluation engines, and integration adapter registries while driving platform reliability through availability monitoring and infrastructure hardening. You will utilize Python, Ruby, and AI-assisted development tools to manage distributed systems and event-driven architectures. The role requires expertise in AWS, GCP, and Azure cloud infrastructures, alongside deep knowledge of TCP/IP networking, encryption technologies, and vulnerability analysis. You will solve complex scalability challenges by auditing cloud infrastructure against security standards to defend against active adversaries and protect customer data.
Develop end-to-end software for complex security data pipelines from ingestion to downstream consumers.
Own system architecture for endpoint protection platforms by authoring System Design and Architecture Decision Records.
Drive platform reliability through availability monitoring, alerting frameworks, and infrastructure hardening.
Design and build optimized REST APIs, policy evaluation engines, and integration adapter registries.
Set engineering standards for code quality, design consistency, and documentation practices across the team.
Mentor engineers through PR reviews, sprint planning, and technical deep dives.
Collaborate with security architects and platform teams to ensure clean system integration and dependency alignment.
Support on-call operations and handle major incidents across different time zones.
What we're looking for
2+ years of core software development experience with mastery in multiple programming languages and platforms.
A related technical degree is required.
Strong foundation in database engineering, API development, and data pipeline construction, including event-driven architectures and distributed systems.
Proven experience with infrastructure hardening and operational reliability, including alerting, availability monitoring, and MTTR reduction.
Ability to design systems at scale, including experience with architecture reviews, design documentation, and cross-team alignment.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, PR reviews, design reviews, sprint execution, and documentation.
2+ years of experience in a computer network-related occupation (preferred).
2+ years of experience in Unix/Linux system administration, AWS, GCP, and Azure (preferred).
