Software Engineering Group Manager, Site Reliability

What you'll do

• Manage multiple development projects and application support functions for a major business segment.
• Provide technical leadership in production support and serve as an escalation point for complex issues.
• Oversee the monitoring, analysis, and recovery of batch/ETL processes across infrastructure and databases.
• Implement proactive reliability practices to reduce operational toil through automation and improved observability.
• Lead after-hours operations and participate in a rotation for high-severity incident response.
• Manage resource allocation and project timelines throughout the application development life cycle.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration between engineering, infrastructure, security, and vendor teams.

What we're looking for

• A bachelor's degree is required, though a combination of education, certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• A Master's degree or PhD is desirable.
• At least 8 years of industry-relevant experience are typically required.
• At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required.
• Proven leadership experience with a moderate to large scope of responsibility is required.
• Technical expertise in Linux/Windows, Oracle/SQL databases, and middleware is required for troubleshooting and production support.
• Ability to provide after-hours operational leadership and participate in an on-call rotation is required.
• Preferred skills include application development, business management, customer solutions, design, and release management.
