What you'll do

Lead the design, development, and implementation of payment technology solutions.
Drive architecture reviews and technical decision-making for strategic initiatives.
Provide technical leadership for SWIFT, ISO 20022, and payment messaging platforms.
Partner with infrastructure and security teams to improve platform resiliency and availability.
Lead incident analysis, root cause investigations, and remediation for critical production issues.
Oversee project delivery while ensuring adherence to security, compliance, and operational standards.
Mentor engineers and developers while promoting engineering best practices.
Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical challenges and support platform modernization.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
12+ years of technology experience with at least 3-5 years in a technical leadership role.
Experience supporting payments, SWIFT, ISO 20022, or financial messaging platforms.
Deep understanding of distributed systems, middleware, messaging platforms (Kafka, MQ, APIs), and cloud technologies.
Experience with operational resilience, disaster recovery, and high-availability architectures.
Cloud platform experience (Azure preferred).
Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, site reliability engineering, and observability tools.
Financial services industry experience (strongly preferred).
