The Software Engineering Advisor joins the engineering team to design, develop, and maintain complex enterprise software applications supporting mission-critical healthcare and Pharmacy Benefit Management business functions. This role involves architecting sophisticated software solutions, performing peer code reviews, and leading technical deliveries for multiple concurrent projects. Key responsibilities include building enterprise microservices, designing backend data persistence solutions, and developing interactive front-end applications. The candidate will utilize Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, ReactJS, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, and Bootstrap. Technical requirements include experience with Apache Kafka, Boomi middleware, Saviynt Identity Governance, GitHub, Node.js, NPM, JUnit, Dynatrace, New Relic, SonarQube, AWS, and Red Hat OpenShift. The work focuses on claims adjudication, eligibility, benefit configuration, formulary logic, and regulatory compliance workflows within a distributed PBM system.
Architect, write, and enhance sophisticated software solutions for mission-critical healthcare and Pharmacy Benefit Management functions.
Build enterprise microservices and orchestration layers using Java and Spring Boot.
Design and maintain backend data persistence solutions using MongoDB, including schema modeling and query optimization.
Develop interactive front-end applications using ReactJS, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
Implement event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka to support real-time synchronization across distributed systems.
Design and implement API endpoints for automated data exchange and identity management using Boomi and Saviynt.
Write JUnit test suites and implement observability solutions using Dynatrace and New Relic.
Support software deployment into integration and QA environments using AWS and OpenShift.
What we're looking for
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience in the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) domain.
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) domain.
Experience with claims adjudication, eligibility, benefit configuration, formulary logic, and regulatory compliance workflows.
Backend development experience using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture, REST API design, Dependency Injection, and Distributed System Engineering.
Front-end development experience using ReactJS, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, and Bootstrap.
Experience with Apache Kafka for real-time data integration, event-driven architecture, and distributed messaging pipelines.
Experience with GitHub, Node.js, NPM, JUnit, SonarQube, Dynatrace, New Relic, AWS, Red Hat OpenShift, Boomi middleware, and Saviynt Identity Governance.
Experience with end-to-end software development lifecycle execution in an Agile environment.
