As a Software Engineer - SoC Level Validation Engineer within the Silicon Technologies group, you will help design and manufacture next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processors. Your primary responsibility involves breaking Apple Silicon by developing and maintaining a bare metal system level software platform that runs mostly post-silicon to identify corner-case hardware bugs. You will develop SoC and CPU directed and random tests while debugging issues in both pre-silicon and post-silicon environments. This role requires collaborating with designers and architects to achieve validation goals for complex system-on-chip architectures. You must possess proficiency in C/C++ and Assembly languages. Key technical competencies include knowledge of micro-architecture, memory hierarchy, interrupt and DMA, clock and power gating, and experience with hardware-software interfaces and embedded programming.

What you'll do

Develop SoC and CPU directed and random tests.

What we're looking for

BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
Knowledge of SoC and CPU micro-architecture, memory hierarchy, interrupts, DMA, clock and power gating (preferred).
Experience with SoC bringup and system-level understanding (preferred).
Proficiency in C/C++, C++, and Assembly language programming (preferred).
Knowledge of hardware and software debug tools and methods (preferred).
Experience with embedded programming and understanding of hardware-software interfaces (preferred).
