JOB TITLE: Software Engineer - SoC Level Validation Engineer As a Software Engineer - SoC Level Validation Engineer within the Silicon Technologies group, you will help design and manufacture next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processors and system-on-chips. You will be responsible for crafting the technology that fuels devices by developing SoC and CPU directed and random tests. Your daily work involves debugging issues pre-silicon and post-silicon while developing and maintaining a system-level software platform. You will collaborate with designers and architects to accomplish validation goals. The role requires proficiency in C/C++ and Assembly language, along with knowledge of hardware and software debug tools. You must understand micro-architecture, memory hierarchy, interrupts, DMA, clock and power gating, and embedded programming to identify corner-case hardware bugs within complex algorithms.

What you'll do

Develop SoC and CPU directed and random tests.
Debug hardware issues in both pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
Develop and maintain the system-level software platform.
Identify corner-case hardware bugs using bare metal system level software suites.
Execute complex algorithms to stress test SoC blocks and power management.
Work with designers and architects to achieve specific validation goals.

What we're looking for

BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
Knowledge of SoC and CPU micro-architecture, memory hierarchy, interrupts, DMA, clock and power gating (preferred).
Experience with SoC bringup and system-level understanding (preferred).
Proficiency in C/C++ and Assembly language programming (preferred).
Knowledge of hardware and software debug tools and methods (preferred).
Experience with embedded programming and understanding of hardware-software interfaces (preferred).
