What you'll do

Translate requirements into working and maintainable software solutions for the Integrated Systems & Encryption division.
Support the engineering team in developing embedded software applications.
Investigate root causes of complex issues and implement solutions independently or with multi-discipline teams.
Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical principles to develop software for target hardware.
Develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software and define operational performance requirements.
Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, and formal testing.
Develop software test plans, procedures, and other relevant technical documentation.
Write code in C/C++ and Python for embedded real-time operating systems like VxWorks, Linux, or Integrity.

What we're looking for

U.S. citizenship with an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
2+ years of experience debugging applications on simulated and/or target hardware.
Proficiency in using Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as Green Hills Integrity, VxWorks, or similar.
Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for developing code for embedded real-time operating systems.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Object-oriented design and implementation experience with exposure to software modeling and UML tools such as IBM Rhapsody or MagicDraw/Cameo (preferred).
Experience developing device drivers, Board Support Packages, Information Assurance, cryptography, or NSA Type 1/DO-178 certifications (preferred).
