JOB TITLE: Senior Embedded Software Engineer (Minimum $10k Sign-On Bonus) L3Harris Integrated Mission Systems is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer (SMES Level) to join the Integrated Systems & Encryption division. What you'll do

Translate requirements into working and maintainable software solutions for the Integrated Systems & Encryption division.
Act as a subject matter expert to provide guidance and direction to other software engineers.
Investigate root causes of complex issues and implement solutions independently or with multi-discipline teams.
Develop software for target hardware using computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts.
Manage all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, and formal testing.
Develop software test plans, procedures, and other relevant technical documentation.
Use modeling tools to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate prototype results.
Implement software for embedded real-time operating systems using C/C++ and Python.

What we're looking for

U.S. citizenship with an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
6+ years of experience developing applications on simulated and target hardware.
Experience using a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) such as Green Hills Integrity, VxWorks, or similar.
Proficiency in software languages primarily including C/C++ and Python.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Object-oriented design and implementation experience with exposure to software modeling and UML tools (preferred).
Experience developing device drivers, Board Support Packages, Information Assurance, or NSA Type 1 certifications (preferred).
