Software Engineer II, Electronic Trading Services, Automation Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications supporting network automation initiatives.
• Build and enhance full-stack features using modern web technologies and service-oriented backends.
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in peer code reviews to improve engineering standards.
• Implement and operate software solutions using Agile practices like Scrum or Kanban.
• Apply CI/CD, Test Driven Development (TDD), and secure coding patterns to all development tasks.
• Build resilient services with a focus on observability, reliability, and performance.
• Use AI-assisted coding tools to generate code, refactor logic, and create documentation.

What we're looking for

• Strong application development skills in more than one technology and familiarity with multiple design techniques/patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js, React, and Python for scripting and automation.
• Working proficiency in a modern development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including frameworks like Scrum or Kanban.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, TDD, cloud development, and application resiliency and security.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools like Cursor or GitHub Copilot to improve developer productivity.
• Experience with Django and/or FastAPI for building backend services and APIs (preferred).
